Update

Well Matt seems like he is starting to move into stage 4 of his recovery, I think there are 8 stages. This one is the aggravated and ticked off just don't understand and starting to come out of it. As hard as this is to watch he HAS to go through this in order to get to the last stage... His infection is GONE yeah!!!!! That was pretty scary! They finally took his neck brace off, Doctors have said this is a long road back to recovery could take well over a year or so. Still don't really know the end result will be that could be at least a year away of knowing that.

Don't forget the 9 Pin not tap this Friday. Hope to see many of you out there.

Also, the 12 hour Scrapbook crop is on November 20th hope you can make it to that one too!!

Update

Matt has a couple of infections, We have to wear masks and gowns, gloves when we go in the room, hoping the antibiotics work to get rid of it. He looked better yesterday already. He still isn't awake but has responded a couple of times to them trying to do their rehab moves the nurse said she can feel him trying to help her.
Don't forget to come to the 9 Pin no Tap! Some people have said they haven't bowled in a long time ... it don't matter not a tournament just coming out to have a good time and help raise some funds for Matt and his family.
Don't forget about the 12 Hour scrapbook fundraiser in November. Please pass on the word.

Update

Matt got moved to Rehab yesterday and will start extensive rehab on his joints and muscles. This is where he get's the best neurological doctors available although he isn't awake yet they will try other things to stimulate his brain.

Information Update

Some of you are just finding out about Matthew so I will re cap what happened to him.
Matt was jogging home on July 23rd, on the section of road where he was at was a narrow thin sidewalk and then the road, he tripped over a clump of grass growing in the crack of sidewalk and fell into coming traffic. He was critically injured, he broke his neck in 2 places, fractured his back in 2 places, broke his leg in 2 places they had to replace with a rod from the knee down, he had severe lacerations on the outside of his leg from the calf all the way to his mid thigh also under his upper arm right to the bone, he hit his head so hard it "jarred" it, he has been unresponsive since his body is healing but he hasn't "woke" up yet. The doctors have said that visitors are crucial to his recovery so the family has tried to make it a priority to be there all the time, his mom of course has been there every minute she can so we have been holding fundraisers to help with her expenses to be by his bedside and also with Matt's he had no health insurance although he has been able to acquire it since the accident there are things and bills that it just doesn't cover that his mom just can't cover she works 2 jobs to make ends meet as it is. So her and Matt's friends and family have been doing what we can to make it so she can worry about Matt and not everything else. Update

Update for Matt ~
He is being moved to the rehab floor even though he hasnt come to yet they will start working his joints and muscles hopefully we will see some improvement with him coming totally out of it. His body is healing please keep the prayers coming.

Also, please spread the word re the fundraisers the scrapbook 12 hour and 9 pin no tap still have plenty of openings.
